Description

There are 76 activities for young learners in Grade R, divided into four units, one per term.  In a playful way, we focus on Fundamental computer skills like using a mouse, scrolling, selecting a tool from a toolbar, and drag and drop.

Maybe the teacher needs to open the files initially, but gradually they learn how to open and close a window, which is essential.

For graphics, we use Paint, Paint 3D, and Drawing for Children, which is a lesser-known program, but great fun!

We introduce Coding and Robotics with Scratch, which is suitable for desktop/laptop, and some activities are also available in Scratch Junior for tablets, so with touch screens. They learn about sequencing and ordering as well as pattern recognition through storytelling and questioning. Froggy needs to jump up the stairs, and farm animals are racing across the field!

Each term is concluded with a Challenge so the teachers can measure if skills have been mastered.

Purchasing this item gives you the license to download course material for Grade R and use it for all learners and all computers in the whole school for one year.

It consists of an Activity Book, Source Files, Completed Examples and Software Tips. You may select and print as needed.

Towards the end of the year of your license, you will receive a reminder to renew and pay your license fee for the following year. We continuously add new material, and this is usually released in January.
