ECDL / ICDL Advanced is a higher-level programme designed for those who have successfully reached ECDL / ICDL skills levels and wish to further enhance their computer proficiency. ECDL / ICDL Advanced covers the following modules:

• Word Processing (AM3)
• Spreadsheets (AM4)
• Databases (AM5)
• Presentations (AM6)

The ECDL / ICDL Advanced modules give Candidates the opportunity to become expert in the use of these applications, acquiring skills sets over and above the routine features of the software.

ECDL / ICDL Advanced Candidates can demonstrate that they are:

1. Organised and efficient
2. More Productive
3. Capable of confidently exploiting the full potential of the applications
4. Expert at producing attractive, professional-quality outputs

The ECDL / ICDL Advanced qualification is:

Internationally-recognised
1. A demonstration of certified advanced skills
2. Vendor-neutral (i.e. applicable to all brands of the relevant software)
3. Backed by the reputation of the ECDL / ICDL certification

How does the ECDL / ICDL Advanced programme work?

Each Advanced module has been designed as a stand-alone certification in each respective area and Candidates who successfully complete a module will be certified as advanced users in that application.

Each module is assessed in a one-hour test. On successful completion of each Advanced Test, Candidates are awarded Advanced certification in that module.

Candidates who choose to complete all four Advanced modules are awarded with the new ECDL / ICDL Expert certification, signifying expert-level ECDL / ICDL competence.

Workshops

Computer Skills for Africa™ will be holding workshops on the third Saturday of every month. The workshop will cover any one module of your choice. A qualified trainer will be able to assist you in learning the ICDL Advanced syllabus. The workshop runs from 08:00 – 17:00. Catering is provided on request.
